Asus is to unveil a brand new look for its Zenbook range of Ultrabooks. The Zenbook Infinity, which will debut at Computex in Taipei on 4 June, has a lid and keyboard surround produced entirely from Gorilla Glass 3. Samsung Galaxy S4 is the only piece of consumer electronics which uses the latest version of Corning's Gorilla Glass. Designed to be ultra tough and difficult to scratch, it is typically used to protect the front of smartphones.
Asus is keeping hardware specifications fairly quiet until things are unveiled at Computex. The new Zenbook is just 15.mm thick, which is 14 per cent thinner than previous versions. The laptop should be going on sale in 2013, possibly with the new Windows 8.1 update preloaded. Expect a solid state drive and a quad-core processor to be sitting inside. There may even be a ultra-high-resolution display to enjoy, or at least a Full HD one.
