Nobody likes running out of smartphone or laptop power while traveling or commuting to work. A Southern California company have designed a backpack charger which keeps mobile devices charged when you're on the move. TYLT's Energi Backpack is a combo backpack and charging station that houses a 10,400 mAh lithium-ion battery. It can charge three devices at once via USB ports. Its maker, TYLT, claims the backpack charger stores enough power to charge a smartphone four times and a typical tablet once, before it has to be recharged itself.
This TSA-approved backpack has plenty of pockets to accommodate everything you need. Cables can be routed throughout the backpack and even to the outside.
It's a fully-loaded backpack, but it's not fully prepared for the elements, featuring only one small waterproof pocket. TYLT is raising funds on Kickstarter to fund the first round of production. People who pledge at least $99 will get the bag early. The Kickstarter campaign raised more than $16,500 of its $50,000 goal with few days left.
