Building a snowman is an activity to have fun. One man took his winter obsession to another level by making a monster snowman in his front garden - standing a whopping 20ft tall. The giant creation includes a huge scarf made from four normal scarves, big branches for arms and a dapper top hat fashioned from a 20L pail.
Mr Mann, from London in Ontario, Canada, planned to build the snowman last year but an unusually mild winter with almost no snow meant he never had the chance. But just one year later he finally got the big snowfall he craved and went to work. He said: 'I made a pretty large snowman a few years ago so it was either go big or go home. 'It took quite a bit of engineering to get it right. I kind of 'cheated' by building boxes for each layer and filling them with snow.
'The actual snow came from everywhere, my garden, the neighbours' garden and a bank across the street. 'I hoisted the snow up with the help of ladders and scaffolding. The square blocks were then carved out and smoothed to create the round snowman shape.'

Mr Mann started building his snowman with the help of his wife Antonella, daughter Tamara, 8, his nephew Michael Gervais and his friend Brenden Lee. The team worked until the snowman's top hat was lowered into place. Mr Mann's snowman is the talk of the town and has become a star on internet.
It even drew some astonished visitors from Tennessee, USA, who were visiting family in the area. The snowman could fall prey to a January thaw but Bob plans to enjoy it while he can. He added: 'If it lasts two weeks I'm happy.'
