Checks worth over $500 million was left at a holy site in the Western Wall of Jerusalem, according to report.

Jerusalem Western Wall: The holy site where the $500 million checks was left

The $500 million checks contained in an envelope was reportedly found by a worshipper. Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitch, who oversees Jerusalem‘s Western Wall, confirmed that 507 checks worth $1 million each was left at the holy site.

The Rabbi thinks that those who wrote the checks may have “wanted to give all they had to the Creator of the universe.” Micky Rosenfeld, Israeli police spokesman, revealed that the checks were from Nigeria, US, Europe and Asia.

The Rabbi explained that the checks were not addressed to anyone. He doubts if these million dollar checks can be encashed. Rabinovitch said that in the past, they found similar checks mostly from Africa. However, they were not able to encash them because they all bounced.
